Local Philanthropy

The Colorado Springs Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumnae Association has actively supported national and local philanthropic organizations throughout its history. The national philanthropic we support is the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation whose mission is to support the lifetime development of women through the funding of educational programs, financial assistance and presentation of Kappa heritage.  We partner with the Fraternity to fund leadership programs and in hard times to meet the needs of member through financial aid. The Foundation funds and administers Rose McGill, Scholarships, Leadership & Educational Training and Museums. The Kappa Foundation is sustained and nourished by Kappas who contribute gifts, large and small, year after year. The Kappa Foundation receives gifts of cash or property, bequests, insurance policies, charitable trusts and annuities among others.

Reading is Fundamental (RIF) is Kappa’s national philanthropic partner. In that vein, the Colorado Springs Alumnae Association supports encouraging and motivating young children to read.

Additionally, our local association contributes monetary gifts to favorite charities in honor and memory of our deceased Colorado Springs members.
